 PERM ROLES 

Post Manager

Location: London

Core Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling Projects and resources. Coordinating with other team members to ensure maximum utilisation of resources.

  • Be the hub of project communication, ensuring in-house teams have all of the required information to hand and relevant staff are present at creative sign offs.

  • Maintain cost tracking; regularly update clients and ensure potential overspend is signed off prior to completion.

  • Ensuring all projects are delivered in a timely manner as per the client’s delivery schedule.

  • Be the first point of contact for clients: creating strong working relationships.

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience working as a Junior Post-production Manager/ Junior Post Manager.

  • A proven track record of delivering to tight deadlines and strict guidelines to broadcasters and streamers.

  • A good working knowledge of Post Production workflows, processes and terminology.

  • Experience using Farmers Wife (not essential as training will be given).

  • Demonstrable track record of commercial awareness and customer satisfaction.

  • A good technical knowledge of digital file formats and codecs.

  • Excellent numeracy and writing skills.

  • Great communicator.

  • Able to work independently without supervision

Talent Manager

Start Date: ASAP (Part-Time, 3 Days) 

Location: London

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the recruitment of all freelance Production and Editorial staff. 

  • Building and maintaining relationships with freelancers - finding out their availability and suitability for upcoming roles.

  • Liaising with the Production Executive and Production Manager when a show has been commissioned to discuss staffing requirements. 

  • Drafting and posting job adverts for upcoming roles.

  • Creating and maintaining the Talent Pool database of contacts and drawing from diverse talent pools.

  • Working closely with our DE&I recruitment partners to source new talent (i.e. TriForce, Creative Access, BBC Elevate, Evenbreak, Talented People, Mama Youth Project,  etc.)

  • Work closely with HR on DE&I initiatives and talent schemes and generally be flexible to help out with what is required.

Skills and Experience:

  • You must have a good understanding of how the TV & Film industry works and the pressures within a production environment. 

  • The role would suit someone who is already working in the industry as a PM or AP/Producer, and looking for a change in direction.

  • Have good relationships with talent managers in other production companies and staff at all levels.

  • Understands production roles, required skills, the different challenges of working in offices, studios, on location and in the edit.

  • Is able to juggle recruitment for different programmes with different skill bases at various stages of production – all at the same time.

  • The ideal candidate would be highly organised, able to work under pressure and can respond quickly and effectively to last minute, fast-turnaround recruitment deadlines.

  • Has a passion for making the TV industry more diverse.

Development Researcher or AP

Start Date: ASAP

Location: London

Core Responsibilities:

  • Generating new format ideas across a wide array of unscripted genres.

  • Writing and producing treatments.

  • Researching ideas, briefs, and securing access.

  • Organising creative brainstorms.

  • Responding to commissioner briefs and network tenders.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience using the Adobe family of products (photoshop, indesign, premiere).

  • A minimum of one year of experience in the television industry.

  • Strong organisational skills.

  • Ability to self-shoot desirable.

Post Production Technology Coordinator

Start Date: ASAP

Location: London

Core Responsibilities:

  • 1st line support and management of our post production support ticketing system

  • Coordination and oversight of post production services and technical delivery schedules in areas such as remote editing and review platforms tools.

  • System and user administration across the post production estate 

  • ​Induction, onboarding and training provision for internal and 3rd party clients and productions. 

  • ​Provision of physical and digital media, licensing and asset management

  • Enabling streamlined interface and communication between post production management and technology teams.

Skills and Experience:

  • ​ Experience in technology within a post production setting. 

  • ​Training or experience in technology as a whole which could include computer science and IT, post production or similar qualifications, but just as validly, experience in an IT or post production technology role previously.

  • The ability to effectively prioritise and manage tasks, processes and equipment with a structured and consistent approach.

  • A strong drive to improve, develop and learn both in oneself but also the practices and processes within the wider business.

  • A patient and cool head when dealing with clients and colleagues under pressure whilst trouble shooting and managing technical issues and solutions.

  • A desire to develop and grow in an expanding department as a technology or technical engineering based role.

  • Great attention to detail and Excellent oral and written communication skills

Offline Service Manager

Start Date: January 2023

Location: London

Core Responsibilities:

  • To manage and ensure the effective operation of offline services & facilities provided by the department. 

  • ​Provide effective communication and interface between the post management and bookings team to ensure effective task and job assignment, tracking and management from booking through to execution and completion. 

  • ​Provide interface, advise and workflow design for production teams and projects to ensure smooth pipeline into ingest and editorial based on delivery requirements.

  • Provide collaboration with the finishing teams to ensure smooth and effective pipelines between offline and finishing services. 

  • ​To manage offline services resources including storage, archive processes and content sharing platforms. 

  • ​Ensure training and skills development within the team to keep pace with business needs, quickly evolving techniques and workflows as well as providing innovation and development of pipelines and workflows.

Skills and Experience:

  • ​Significant experience managing people and facilities in the offline editorial and ingest / digital lab environment 

  • ​A deep understanding of the technical and logistical processes involved in on-set and offline editorial workflows and technologies with knowledge of prerequisites for post finishing. 

  • ​A strong drive to improve, develop and build processes, workflows and staff under your supervision and in a dynamic environment. 

  • ​Experience and skill in managing clients and stakeholders under tight deadlines and high pressure environments whilst maintaining a cool, professional and problem solving approach. 

  • ​The ability to effectively prioritise and manage tasks and teams with a structured and consistent approach. 

  • ​Great attention to detail and Excellent oral and written communication skills

Dialogue Editor

Location: London

Core Responsibilities:

As a dialogue editor, you will be responsible for;

  • The whole pipeline of feature drama dialogue editing, starting with the conform going all the way through to delivering the dialogue edit to the mix stage

  • Cueing and attending ADR

  • Cueing and attending crowd sessions

  • Co-ordinating with the Sound Supervisor and the rest of the sound team to ensure the sound is delivered to a high standard in line with the expectations of the director

  • Attending sound spotting sessions and ensuring the directors vision and ideas are executed within the dialogue edit

  • Some factual series sound editorial work on occasions

Learning Opportunities:

 FREELANCE ROLES 

 

Editor

Potential Start Date: 12th December or sooner

Location: London

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Join the team in the second half of the offline schedule on a music documentary edit. The project will be in its later stages of finessing the offline edit and finalising/polishing up story strands, so a strong sense of style and commitment to storytelling is a bonus. The project is being edited on Avid, primarily based in-house at the Fulwell73 offices in North London, with capacity to work remotely if essential.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experienced long form/ documentary editor working on Avid - fast editor essential

  • Strong sense of style and innovation

  • Experience in finishing touches/polishing episode cuts

  • Experience with interviews and actuality a must

  • Experience with found footage and archive a huge bonus

Production Manager

Potential Contract Date: Immediately through to early/mid December 2023

Location: London, with remote shoots abroad

 

Core Responsibilites:

  • Oversee schedule and broadcast of live streaming events 

  • Book and contract all suppliers and crew 

  • Manage budget 

  • Liaise with HODs on rig and derig schedules 

  • Liaise with all HODs re Health & Safety and Covid Protocols 

  • Oversee live streaming and basic contingency VT edit 

  • Oversee small editorial team and show content 

  • Manage talent contracts

Skills and Experience:

  • Fast turnaround, live show experience essential 

  • OB/remote experience essential 

  • Experience in managing a small dynamic team preferable

  • Experience in PMI preferable

Line Producer

Potential Contract Date: Immediately through to early/mid December 2023

Location: London, with remote shoots abroad

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the production from pre-production, streaming & close down

  • Manage the production team both in UK and abroad​

  • Manage the budget & financial reporting​

  • Covid protocols for filming, including international travel​

  • Work closely with the Showrunner to deliver the creative through minimum 3 live streams

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of managing multiple remote shoots / OBs at once

  • Experience of managing budgets on PMI​

  • Experience of working on quick turnaround, live broadcasts

  • Experience in managing a small dynamic team 

  • An interest in sport is helpful, but not essential.

  • They need to be able to organise documents clearly for the Edit team to work from.

  • Overseeing a large volume of archives and shot material.

  • Be able to work within a team

Edit Producer

Core Responsibilities:

  • Working across 2 suites helping to shape narrative and themes.

  • Communicating with the director, story producer and shoot team as filming is ongoing.

  • Managing the balance of new footage with Archive

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 EP credits.

  • Experience in music or cultural documentaries useful.

  • Experience of working on Avid useful.
