Asian network RTL CBS Entertainment has acquired The Late, Late Show with James Corden from cousin CBS Studios International.
It will air on weeknights from August 3 at 11.45pm with a selection of top episodes to date and current episodes from season two.
Brit Corden took over from Craig Ferguson on the Late, Late Show in March and has been praised for his approach to the format. The series has since been sold into Canada’s CTV and Australia’s Eleven, which CBS has a stake in, with further deals in Japan and other territories understood to be close to completion.
TBI understands CBS and Corden jointly agreed to hold back the tape from the UK until a later date until the relatively-nascent format has developed further.
British broadcasters are understood to widely interested in picking up the show, which has seen guests such as Tom Hanks, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mariah Carey appearing since its new presenter came in.
UK-base Fulwell 73 Productions produces the show in association with CBS Television Studios.

Corden succeeded Scottish comedian Craig Ferguson as host of the show
The Late Late Show with James Corden will begin airing weeknights on RTL CBS Entertainment HD from August 3, with the second season set to premiere on September 10.
Corden was a surprise choice to succeed Scottish comedian Craig Ferguson as host of the late-night chat show and made his debut on March 23.
Celebrities to have appeared on the show to date include Tom Hanks, Mila Kunis, Mariah Carey, David Beckham, Will Ferrell and One Direction.
The series is produced by CBS Productions and executive produced by Ben Winston and Rob Crabbe.
RTL CBS Asia Entertainment is a joint-venture HD channel from Germany’s RTL Group and CBS Studios International.
It recently launched in Hong Kong, where it is available on satellite and IPTV platform Now TV tomorrow under a carriage deal with its owner, PCCW.

The Late Late Show with James Corden is to air across Asia after CBS Studios International struck a deal with pan-regional broadcaster RTL CBS Entertainment HD.
The show, which launched in the US in May, will air from August where the broadcaster will combine current episodes day-and-date, as well as a selection of the best episodes to date before launching the second series of the talkshow in September.
The Late Late Show with James Corden has already hosted guests including Tom Hanks, Mariah Carey, David Beckham, Will Ferrell and One Direction.
The nightly series, which is exec produced by The Michael McIntyre Chat Show producer Ben Winston and produced by UK indie Fulwell 73 Productions in association with CBS TV Studios, has already been sold to a number of global broadcasters including Canada’s CTV and Australia’s Network Ten, as well as Japan.
It comes as a number of British broadcasters, thought to include Sky 1, expressed interest in the show. However, it is not expected to air in the UK before the end of the year, when Corden’s second series will follow The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

RTL CBS Asia Entertainment Network and its sister concern, CBS Studios International have entered into a licensing contract for a TV talk-show titled ‘The Late, Late Show’.
The Late, Late Show which is hosted by James Corden is produced by CBS Productions and distributed internationally by CBS Studios International.

RTL CBS Entertainment has bought first and exclusive rights to talk show “The Late Late Show with James Corden” from CBS Studios International. The talk show premieres on the Asia regional channel on 3 August at 11.45pm (10.45pm JKT/BKK) and will run on week nights with select episodes from the recent season as well as new episodes with shorter rights windows. Season 2 will premiere on 10 September 2015 in the same slot.
